DUB Show at San Diego 2

One thing good about DUB is that they have all kinds of models. If variety is the spice of life, then DUB has all the ingredients to match up the record heat weather that day!!

DUB Show at San Diego 1

This year's DUB show, in a rarely super high temperature, at San Diego (Chula Vista to be precise) has carried the traditional DUB show flares with it. Even though there were not a whole lot of big name models there, there were quite a few models that have great potential, in their early stage of import modeling. It's quite refreshing to see them as well.

We are sure that we have seen this model before. She is really sweet during the show! Great job!! And kudos to the vendor, J-Dog Customs!!

Then we met this really cute and high voltage walk-around girl. She must be a model, or at least she has what it requires...

Carry on DUB!! Good job!!

Featured Model - Kate Derr and Team ShoPow (2/2)

This is the part 2 of the featured editorial.

Now back to our interview with Kate:
W&HM: And what style of swimsuit you like most?
Kate: My favorite at the moment would have to be the itty-bitty sexy string bikinis. A classic, but still sexy, pinup-style bikini is something I've always wanted and loved as well.

W&HM: Do you like sushi? It seems that most gorgeous models love sushi. What's your top pick of foods?
Kate: I must honestly say that I've never tried sushi. You caught me! Haha I'm a big fan of Italian food. I love it.

Unfortunately we did not prepare the bikini that she loves...

Memo to the wardrobe department: "Less is More!!"

W&HM: That's wonderful! Do you have a web site that people can look you up for more amazing work that you have done?
Kate: absolutely. You can see my best photos at (the end of the editorial).

W&HM: Last question, what would you like to say to your current and future fans out there?
Kate: be genuine in everything you do. Anyone you meet in your life could open a new opportunity. Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.

W&HM: Thank you so much Kate!! You are always + always amazing and beautiful and talented!! Will we see you again here?
Kate: Thank you so very much, and yes, I look forward to working together again!

W&HM: Thanks again!!
We are so happy to have Kate and Team ShoPow with us for this editorial!! If you like to see more wonderful photos of this great model here you will find them:

Keep up the good work, guys!! See you soon again!!

Here is Part 1. And this is Part 2 (this one).

W&HM Featured Model - Kate Derr and Team ShoPow (1/2)

We are very happy to have this issue's featured model! Kate Derr is an awesome, wonderful, talented, and super cool model! We have been working with her in many occasions. She has been a fashion model published in multiple clothing and product lines. Kate has that gentle, fairy-like quality in her personality. Her big eyes can smile without her uttering a word. Her natural modeling talents are just perfect for our car theme here. We really hope that she will be traveling the world to different car shows, because she is soooo good!! Haha.

And we are very luck to be able to team up with Team ShoPow. They are a San Diego based car club. They are soooo great to work with that they bring so many cars to the shoot. We super appreciate their passion and efforts and time and helps and everything else. They are super cool!! We will know them more later in this editorial!

We did a quick interview with Kate. You can tell that she is a happy model for sure!!

W&HM: Hi Kate, great to have you as our featured model!!
Kate: It's my pleasure! Thank you for having me!

W&HM: Tell us how long you have been modeling?
Kate: I've been modeling for about 5 years now. It's been great.

W&HM: How do you like it?
Kate: It's definitely something I love to do and am looking forward to doing more and seeing where it may take me.

W&HM: What else do you do besides being an amazing model?
Kate: haha Well I'm currently working and going to school majoring in Fashion Merchandising. Keeping very busy!

W&HM: Do you go to beach a lot? Your swimsuit photos look amazing!!
Kate: thank you so much! I don't go to the beach as much as I would like to actually. However, I'm more concerned with things such as trying to get homework done. Haha

W&HM: If you can tell new models how to be an awesome model, what would it be?
Kate: I would tell them to NOT think too much and to do what feels right for them. All the rest can be learned, but use what's inside of you to guide your natural talent.

And here is an intermission from our interview with Kate. This is an intro to the great Team ShoPow, from the team. They are our first featured car club and we love them very much!! Great work guys!!!

"Team ShoPow was established in 2001 by a group of high school friends that equally shared the same passion for cars andthe import car scene. Because of this mutual agreement, they decided to band together and create a unique car club in which Team Show Power Motoring a.k.a. Team ShoPow was born. In the earlier years of Team ShoPow, they started making progress by showing up to Car Meets and Car Shows all over the San Diego area. After a couple of years being involved within the import car scene, Team ShoPow started to fall apart due to members losing interest . In 2007, Team ShoPow was reborn out of the ashes and determined to become an elite force to be reckon with.

Currently Team ShoPow with its strong infrastructure has made huge strides in the last couple of years. We will continue to evolve with the car scene and continue to grow as Team. We all hope to see everyone at future car events, so if you're around, stop by and say "Hi"."

Team ShoPow is super cool! It's such a pleasure to know these great people. We are very much looking forward to future collaboration and bring out more great cars and models to our readers!!

Now back to our normal program...

W&HM: If you have all the money in the world, what type of car would you get? Why??
Kate: Well, I'm not an expert on cars by any means, but who wouldn't want that car from Back to the Future? If money could by a car that could go back and forward through time, that would be ideal. Haha

W&HM: Back to the beach. We just love this subject... Haha. What (swimsuit) colors are your favorites?
Kate: I would say I'm very fond of rich colors like jewel tones. Luxurious colors can make anyone feel they look their best. Perhaps that's just the fashion in me talking. Haha

This is Part 1. And here is Part 2. Check it out! :-)
