W&HM Featured Model - Kate Derr and Team ShoPow (1/2)

We are very happy to have this issue's featured model! Kate Derr is an awesome, wonderful, talented, and super cool model! We have been working with her in many occasions. She has been a fashion model published in multiple clothing and product lines. Kate has that gentle, fairy-like quality in her personality. Her big eyes can smile without her uttering a word. Her natural modeling talents are just perfect for our car theme here. We really hope that she will be traveling the world to different car shows, because she is soooo good!! Haha.

And we are very luck to be able to team up with Team ShoPow. They are a San Diego based car club. They are soooo great to work with that they bring so many cars to the shoot. We super appreciate their passion and efforts and time and helps and everything else. They are super cool!! We will know them more later in this editorial!

We did a quick interview with Kate. You can tell that she is a happy model for sure!!

W&HM: Hi Kate, great to have you as our featured model!!
Kate: It's my pleasure! Thank you for having me!

W&HM: Tell us how long you have been modeling?
Kate: I've been modeling for about 5 years now. It's been great.

W&HM: How do you like it?
Kate: It's definitely something I love to do and am looking forward to doing more and seeing where it may take me.

W&HM: What else do you do besides being an amazing model?
Kate: haha Well I'm currently working and going to school majoring in Fashion Merchandising. Keeping very busy!

W&HM: Do you go to beach a lot? Your swimsuit photos look amazing!!
Kate: thank you so much! I don't go to the beach as much as I would like to actually. However, I'm more concerned with things such as trying to get homework done. Haha

W&HM: If you can tell new models how to be an awesome model, what would it be?
Kate: I would tell them to NOT think too much and to do what feels right for them. All the rest can be learned, but use what's inside of you to guide your natural talent.

And here is an intermission from our interview with Kate. This is an intro to the great Team ShoPow, from the team. They are our first featured car club and we love them very much!! Great work guys!!!

"Team ShoPow was established in 2001 by a group of high school friends that equally shared the same passion for cars andthe import car scene. Because of this mutual agreement, they decided to band together and create a unique car club in which Team Show Power Motoring a.k.a. Team ShoPow was born. In the earlier years of Team ShoPow, they started making progress by showing up to Car Meets and Car Shows all over the San Diego area. After a couple of years being involved within the import car scene, Team ShoPow started to fall apart due to members losing interest . In 2007, Team ShoPow was reborn out of the ashes and determined to become an elite force to be reckon with.

Currently Team ShoPow with its strong infrastructure has made huge strides in the last couple of years. We will continue to evolve with the car scene and continue to grow as Team. We all hope to see everyone at future car events, so if you're around, stop by and say "Hi"."

Team ShoPow is super cool! It's such a pleasure to know these great people. We are very much looking forward to future collaboration and bring out more great cars and models to our readers!!

Now back to our normal program...

W&HM: If you have all the money in the world, what type of car would you get? Why??
Kate: Well, I'm not an expert on cars by any means, but who wouldn't want that car from Back to the Future? If money could by a car that could go back and forward through time, that would be ideal. Haha

W&HM: Back to the beach. We just love this subject... Haha. What (swimsuit) colors are your favorites?
Kate: I would say I'm very fond of rich colors like jewel tones. Luxurious colors can make anyone feel they look their best. Perhaps that's just the fashion in me talking. Haha

This is Part 1. And here is Part 2. Check it out! :-)
