Formula Drift has been the industry leader and is the highest level in the US drifting world. This great tradition is carried forward by this year's
Formula Drift 2017 Round 1 Street of Long Beach, the season opener!
Even though we did not get the opportunity to cover the inside tracks of the live sliding and smoking actions, we got the golden opportunity to cover the outside venue that is full of different actions too.
To start off, we have many our amazing models in various top drifting sponsors and teams. We saw,
- Christina Riordan and Jessica Diane for Worthouse, the first year with great models here
- Constance Nunes for Nitto Tires
- Nicole Marie Reckers and Arley Elizabeth for Achilles, with brand new awesome uniforms
- Jessica Harbour for Nexen Tires

On the hand, the handsome drifting cars were on display after they have retired from the highlight competitive racing across the track. Different signs of wears and tears show the hard work from both the drivers and the finely tuned machinery that they were driving.
On the first public day, Friday, only the top sponsors' promotional teams were on site for the ambassadorship and photo ops. And we totally captured the great beauties of these cream of the crop models, including Hankook, a comeback of NOS girls, Nitto Tires, Worthouse racing. However we did not get a chance to find out if Falken has brought their models. Maybe tomorrow would be the day.

One of the hottest item in the first day program, is the driver autograph session. There were tons fans and drifting want-to-bes, queued up for the chance of meeting their hero and get a chance for autographs and some swags to bring home and pin on the wall.
Vendor showcase cars are another highlight of the Formula Drift event. Besides the many usual suspects of the loyal supporting vendors in the main expo area, there will be the Autocon car show tomorrow, which always showcases amazing top of the line cars. Definitely look forward to tomorrow's big debut of show of the show!
