The 2026 Hotpit Autofest Round 1 kicked off with an electrifying atmosphere at the Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino, a mere 1.52 hours east of downtown Los Angeles. As the sun blazed brightly in the sky, it was complemented by the fierce gusts of the Santa Ana winds, creating a dynamic backdrop for the day’s exhilarating events.

The season opener, Round 1, delivered an unforgettable experience, combining the thrilling world of drifting with a vibrant lifestyle event that appealed to fans of all ages. Excitement was in the air as hundreds of fans and enthusiasts flocked to witness the season opener of this professional drifting event—the first major drifting competition in Southern California for the year. The palpable energy from the crowd was matched only by the enthusiasm of the drivers, all eager to showcase their impressive drifting skills and compete for glory.

One of the unique attractions of the Hotpit Autofest was the thrilling ride-along “Taxi” drifting experience, which allowed spectators to experience the adrenaline rush of drifting firsthand. This unique opportunity to ride alongside professional drivers added a personal touch to the event, making it memorable for fans and newcomers alike.

Adding to the excitement was a unique showcase of at least 15 stunning import models, all expertly managed under the Fujinami Lounge. Among the impressive lineup were models such as Cetera from Utah and Mycia from Orange County, who captivated attendees with their charm and presence. Additionally, the dynamic duo, Lily and Lili, particularly shone during our micro photo shoots, capturing the attention of the crowd with their energy and style.

The automotive display was equally impressive, featuring an array of show cars, including powerful mod muscle vehicles and visually striking Itasha cars adorned with vibrant anime-themed graphics. Each car exemplified the creativity and passion of their owners, making the car show an essential part of the experience.

Throughout the day, several food vendors and merchandise booths offered a variety of tasty treats and unique products, making the event feel like an all-encompassing festival rather than just a car show. From delicious bites to eye-catching merchandise, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Overall, the 2026 Hotpit Autofest Round 1 was not just a competition; it marked a significant moment in the SoCal drifting scene. With its mix of excitement, skilled drivers, and unforgettable experiences, the event set a high standard for the rest of the season and left everyone eagerly anticipating what was to come. The thrill of the drift has officially returned to Southern California, and it’s here to stay!

Also Round 1 was more than just a drifting competition; it was a full-fledged lifestyle event, blending high-octane drifting action with a vibrant car show, stunning import models, live music, and a bustling vendor area. This great Saturday atmosphere left attendees buzzing with excitement and anticipation for future events, solidifying Hotpit Autofest as a must-visit occasion in the Southern California automotive calendar.
