At the 2015 Formula Drift Long Beach, the season opener, the air was all upbeat and bright.  The 3-days-ago rain cleared the sky for the big bright sun to shine on the soft side of Formula Drift event here.  Our cover models, hired as stylish umbrella girls and beautiful import models including Arley Elizabeth, Ashley Twomey, Jessica Weaver, Brittani Paige, as well as feature models Dennii and Krstina Hong (on flyer) were all at this great event!  They and many other models definitely brought tons of fun and glam to the highly competitive drifting sport.

The magazine, Wheels and Heels Magazine, Cover Model Arley Elizabeth returned to the Achilles Tires as their umbrella girl again this year following a very successful appearances in the past years. Together with Miranda Hayes, they made a very impressive pair at the event!

 Hankook's driver Fredric Aasbo did an excellent job bringing home the first round's championship.  Appropriately, the Hankook umbrella girls in their finest promo uniforms gave the most "wow" imagery to the event attendees.  They were so busy giving away their posters to their adoring fans.  They are definitely the complete package in all four of Sarah Top, Erica Nagashima, Erica Juliet, and Madison Taylor!

Another our cover model Ashley Twomey is the most striking and dazzling Exedy umbrella girl that we've ever covered!  The leggy blonde bombshell, with gaze-arresting beautiful eyes, and impeccable physique, totally rocked the Exedy's umbrella uniform!  The pink top is already a beacon color of the choice in a car show / expo event.  Combined with a nano-skirt accentuating her long leggy look, the whole presence is simply breathtaking and memory burning, due to her hotness!

 Our feature model Dennii for the GT Radial Tires umbrella girl, together with Phoenix Sparks, showing the great love for the cars and the tires and the audience.  The blonde and brunette combo made a perfect picture for our event coverage camera.  Also check out the full article to see the individual shots.  They are awesome!!

In contrast to the glamorous umbrella girls, there were import models that are equally glamorous in a different way.  Import models are prevailing in the drifting events, as they carry the culture of drifting coming from Japan.  Import models are usually more creative and more fun, due to less corporate mandates on appearances and conducts. Now onto the lifestyle expo area, where you can find tons of awesome import models.

 Of course at the R1-Concepts import models, you will find TWO of our cover models, Brittani Paige and Jessica Weaver!  The stunning duo is always a crowd's top choice.  The playful fun side of Brittani and the glamour sultry side of Jessica, are simply to hot to handle.  We occasionally had to cool off our flash to continue to shoot.  At the R1-Concepts, you will always find great products, as well as great import models.  Yesterday, we met Erica Law and Cristal Aguirre as the R1-Concepts import models.  They were simply awesome as well! We were so happy to see our cover models there again!  Great job R1-Concepts marketing team!!

 Krstina Hong, our feature model was not at the 2015 Formula Drift Long Beach in person. However, the photo that we took with her made the Spocom's flyer top spot!  What an honor and that's super cool.  This skyrocketing model from Houston has made her big entrance to the import modeling world, especially in the last year's Spocom Super Show Anaheim,   She won the top honor of Miss Spocom 2015 Bikini Contest and on the video coverage of SuperStreet Magazine.  If you ever checked out her Instagram, you would fall in love with her with her honest and pure and fun and playful and beautiful collections of photos and videos.  We totally look forward to seeing her again this year at the Spocom Super Show coming up mid-year!

Umbrella Girls

The umbrella girls are mostly from the big tire companies, who are the major sponsor to the majority of the drifting drivers.  You know when you need to slide and drift, that's where the rubber meet the road the hard way, bellowing tons of smoke from the tires not the asphalt, a tire company sponsorship would be very very important.

Tire companies love to have umbrella girls too.  They are the ultimate brand ambassadors to the companies.  They are immediately eye-catching, and look amazing standing right next to the pro drifting drivers. and add tons of fan connections to the brand.  We say, long live the umbrella girl culture!!

Import models in the past, has usually conjured an over the top sexiness or sometimes raunchiness.  However, the time has changed, and the culture has grown sophisticated, and talents got abundant.  All these have pushed the import modeling a lifestyle art form, that paints an upbeat, fun, genuine, and classy modeling imagery.  This is definitely supported by the coverage here in the 2015 Formula Drift Long Beach!
