HxWxV, a Petite Meet with Huge Gathering @VxApes @Jessicakes33 @arrrrlz @officialsandrawong @miss_brittani_paige @Lillyevans_

San Gabriel, CA - by Py - This is a very exciting meet. You would not imagine the turn out and the effects of this event, but it has a huge impact across many aspects. HxWxV stands for Heels, Wheels and Vapes, which is very fitting to the appearances of great models, great cars and bikes, right in the V-Apes shop in San Gabriel.

The idea was conceived by the very awesome Jessica Weaver, our cover model. Leveraging the V-Apes store in San Gabriel, that she is part of. The idea is to have a "Kick Cancer Fundraiser" event, and having some of the top models in the industry to raise the awareness of the event, as well as providing a space for people to network and mingle. And boy did we see heavy duty networking and mingling at the event. Not only this is the first semi-major (definitely not minor) import model gathering at one spot after the start of the year, the draws of these models attracted the majority of local photographers that we meet regularly at various events. This is almost like an unofficial network event. People were busy capturing beautiful pictures of the models, especially with the awesome backdrop painted by the famed mural painting artist Kopyeson. On their trigger resting time, people spent a lot of time catching up with each other, like a long lost friends network reunion. People talked about shows last year, this year, and every year, talked about cars and bikes and clubs and many other things. It's almost you can feel a strong industry vibe there. We totally applaud to Jessica and V-Apes for providing this wonderful opportunity for all the gathering together and having a good time! We definitely look forward to more in their future events!

Jessica Weaver is always so beautiful and awesome to take pictures of and catching up with. Her interpersonal skills are warm and friendly and personable. All these made her a perfect hostess of the event.

We just saw Arley Elizabeth yesterday at the Bank Sale, and we were happy to see her again. This also highlighted the coolness of this event. As one of the peers commented that he only took less than 100 photos in that big show, but today, it's many more than that. Who would have thought that a small David-size meet can generate such a greater force (in modeling) than the Goliath's Convention Center size occasion!

We were so happy to see our cover model Sandra Wong again! It's been a while that we last see her, especially with everybody's traveling plans around the new year to the left and right. Ashley Clark also showed up at the event, and had a great time with every body there! We welcome the return of Brittani Paige, who went on a month-long international business trip to Asia. There were many + many of her fans that could not stop taking pictures and talking with her. Guess everybody missed her and very glad to see her coming back to the warm southern California!

Jenna Lane and Lilly Evans were there as well busy chatting with everybody. Lilly Evans' super amicable personality and gorgeous smiles just melt everybody's heart and fired up everybody's flash. Her career is flying off the shelf and onto awesome stardom we can see!!

Besides the roster models, we also saw very cool models who cameo-ed at the event, including Serena Su, Janis True and Arika Sato. They made the event even more fun and star-studded!

And don't forget that there were also wheels at the event. In fact, the bike club, Asylum Riders, of different chapters including LA, SGV, and 818 were there with many very cool bikes. It's quite a scene that we don't encounter much in other shows. We say very cool!

We have worked with V-Apes in our 2013 #5 issue. The stylish design inside the shop, and the courteous staff at deck make the vaping experience a totally different level that the rest of the pack out there. No wonder they get 5-star rating consistently by the Yelp's reviewers. Excellent!
