Guest Contribution
We welcome your submission of car show/event model photos that you personally take. It could be from big name car shows, or small car meets, or anything in between. After being approved by our editorial team, your photos will carry full credit to you and your name will be in the article in appreciation to your contribution!
Here are a few simple guidelines:
- Send 20 - 100 photos, minimally 1280 x 850 @ 96 dpi, to wheelsandheelsmag@gmail.com
- Watermark photos with your own logo or credit line first
- Include models' names in file names, if possible
- Minimally 80% of photos need to be of promotional models, rest could be of cars or venues
- Include a short paragraph or two about the event and models
Here are a few simple tips:
- If shooting outdoors, under the big sun, ask models to raise their chins to avoid raccoon eyes
- If shooting with the sun facing you, put the sun behind model's head and force flash to fire
- For upper body shots, take it at an angle slightly above model's heads
- For full body shots, lower your camera at the model's waist level
- Ask for an action shot to create lively and fun pictures
Here are a couple of necessary legal things for liability reasons:
- You cannot invoke our magazine name anytime in contact with the models or promoters, or vendors/owners
- However you can say that your photos are for submission to a magazine, but cannot mention its name.
Wheels and Heels Magazine is not responsible for any actions, activities, claims, promises, damages, losses, consequences, or other liabilities from any individual contributors. Each contributor carries his/her own responsibilities.
By sending your pictures, you acknowledge and agree with the above in full.
Here are a few last thoughts based on our experiences:
- Always wear a smile and be courteous. Models love that.
- If you see great pictures of the model on your camera screen, show them to her. She definitely loves that!
- If you find a model photogenic, come back to her a couple of times to take more pictures. It's rewarding and complimenting.
- Drink plenty of water and wear enough sun block or have a shady hat.
- Have fun! That's the most important thing!
Thank you and look forward to your wonderful photos!
