2013 Greystone Mansion Concours d'Elegance Car and Mansion Show Highlights (Lumdigital)

Beverly Hills, CA (Photos and Key Info by Clint Lum) - The Greystone Mansion Concours d'Elegance car and mansion event is not your average car show. It's an American-royalty-style show, with legendary cars at a historical site.

It was an overcast day for almost the entire day, but at least it didn't rain. Planning for an outdoor event is always nerve wrecking, but the skies did not rain on this day, but waited until the following day.

Built in 1927 by oil tycoon Edward L. Doheny and perched in the storied and scenic hills of one of the most elegant neighborhoods in America, Greystone Estate is a Beverly Hills and Los Angeles treasure, recognized since 1976 as a historic landmark in the national registry of Historic Places.

The City of Beverly Hills purchased the property in 1965 and in 1971 the entire 18.3 acre site was formally dedicated as a public park by the City of Beverly Hills.

Though the entry to the event has an equally impressive ticket price, it's all inclusive of food and drinks.  Namely, the food was provided by Lawry's catering, beer gardens hosted by Stella Artois and Margarita stations were provided by Asombroso Fine Tequilas.  On top of the rare close up views of these historically significant cars at a majestic location plus a vacation fashion show, this is an once in a life time experience.

There were 135 cars in display with several more motorcycles participated.  The sheer sights of these classic and performance cars, would make you want to come up close and get personal to them and imagine the glamorous lives of The Great Gatsby, or other significant lifestyle eras.

We look forward to next year's great opportunity to see them again!
